Teeth Whitening

Are you craving a bright beautiful smile with white teeth?

Naturally, teeth tend to get darker and more yellow over time. Staining from foods, drinks, smoking, tea, coffee and red wine can be a reason for the discolouration of teeth. Here at Beauty in Health we reset the color of your teeth to a natural white coloration. A beautiful smile is guaranteed with our safe Blue Light Technology within only 45min!

How does it work?

We use the Blue Light Technology which whitens your teeth within a fraction of the time and cost compared to other techniques available. For the treatment LED light is used alongside with a tooth-whitening agent. While the light itself will not change the color of your teeth on its own, it acts as a catalyst to speed up the reactions of the whitening agent. This agent is commonly hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which are slow-acting bleaches that react with your teeth and then break down into hydrogen peroxide. Through this process superficial stains and deeper discolouration are removed by altering their chemical structure which brightens up your teeth.

Is teeth whitening suitable for everyone?

Teeth whitening is suitable for almost everyone. It is not recommended if you suffer from teeth or gum disease, front tooth decay or teeth infections due to its sensitivity.

Also, you have to be at least 16 years old. It is not recommended for pregnant women or people with existing crowns and large fillings in the smile zone, gum shrinkage or visible yellow roots.

How much lighter do my teeth get?

Normally, your teeth will be about 5-10 shades lighter than before the treatment. Especially people with a heavily discolouration of teeth will notice a remarkable difference. Those lucky ones having natural white teeth can achieve an even whiter smile through the process.

The actual result depends on the individual given coloration of the teeth and can be discussed with Karen in advance.

Does the treatment do any damage to my teeth?

No it does not. As long as you come in with healthy teeth and gums there will be no adverse effects to the bleaching of one’s teeth, however, if you currently suffer from gum or teeth diseases it is not recommended.

How long does the treatment take?

It normally takes about 45-60min to achieve maximum results.

How long will the results last?

A maintenance follow up is recommended every 6-12 month.

What are pre procedural requirements?

It is recommended to brush your teeth prior to your appointment to reduce teeth sensitivity.

What are the after care instructions?

It is recommended to avoid staining beverages such as coffee, tea, red wine, colas and citrus beverages for the  first 24-48 hours after the treatment. If you still choose to consume these, it’s best to use a straw. As a rule of thumb everything that can stain with white cloth should be avoided.

It is quite common for teeth whitening products to cause teeth sensitivity. This is temporary and will go away quickly.

How much does it cost?

One treatment costs $75.
